Allbrite Engineering's Kart
This go-kart was built by Allbrite Engineering in Tralee, Ireland. They bought the plans and majority of components off the Internet. The kart in these photos is their second version of the kart. They hope to make a new kart made complete from stainless steel! They spent quite a bit of money on the kart, (into the €1000's) not to mention the time.
A few key features:
They used a torque converter which works very well.
They used a simple engine mounted on an adjustable plate.
They bought the engine off the Internet which has an electric starter.
A big wish of their's is to have a reverse gear! They had tried looking into having an electric motor for reverse, and are on the lookout for a suitable gearbox which would achieve reverse. Check out their website for a list of their commercial products: www.allbriteengineering.com
